At Silicon Tech BD, we stand by the quality of our products. Our warranty policy is designed to give you complete peace of mind with your purchase.
Part 1: Pre-Owned Laptops
All pre-owned (used) laptops sold by Silicon Tech BD come with the following warranty package:
1. 15-Day Replacement Guarantee
- **Coverage:** This guarantee covers any hardware-related functional issues that are not caused by the user.
- **Duration:** 15 days from the date of purchase.
- **Condition:** If you encounter a hardware defect within this period, we will replace the product. The issue must be verified by our technical team.
- **Exclusions:** This guarantee does not cover physical damage, liquid damage, screen damage, battery backup issues, or any software-related problems. The product's physical condition must be the same as it was at the time of sale.
2. 2-Year Service Warranty
- **Coverage:** This warranty covers labor/service charges for resolving any hardware issues for a period of two years.
- **Duration:** 2 years from the date of purchase.
- **Condition:** If your laptop requires a hardware repair, you will not be charged for the service performed by our technicians. However, the customer is responsible for the cost of any replacement parts that may be required.
- **Process:** To avail the service warranty, you must bring the laptop to our service center at Multiplan Center.
Part 2: New Laptops
All brand new laptops are covered by the **official brand warranty** provided by the manufacturer or their authorized distributor in Bangladesh.
- **Duration & Terms:** The duration and terms of the warranty (typically 1-3 years) are as per the brand's official policy. This usually covers manufacturing defects in hardware.
- **Claim Process:** To claim the warranty, customers must visit any of the brand's authorized service centers located across Bangladesh. You will need to present the original purchase receipt from Silicon Tech BD.
- **Our Role:** As a retailer, Silicon Tech BD facilitates the sale of genuine products with official warranties. We do not provide separate warranties on new products. We can guide you to the nearest authorized service point.
General Exclusions (Applicable to All Warranties)
- Warranty is void if there is any evidence of physical damage, liquid spillage, mishandling, or unauthorized repair attempts.
- Software, operating system, viruses, or any user-installed application issues are not covered.
- The laptop's battery and adapter carry a limited warranty, which is typically 6 months to 1 year, as per brand policy for new items and 15 days for pre-owned items.
- Any cosmetic damage (scratches, dents) after the product has been sold is not covered.
